Google Introduces New Browser, Chrome
in the past couple of days the blogosphere has seen numerous posts of people who’ve received a comic book in the mail from Google introducing their new open source browser called Chrome. Google has since publicized their comic.  The browser is set to release today in over 100 countries.  TechCrunch has the first images of the new fledgling browser.
Sometime today, this new browser will be released to be torn apart by the open source and blog communities. One of the main draws for this browser over previous implimentations is its JavaScript support and speed. Google has been developing a new JS engine called ‘V8′ that is meant to speed up script speeds. Another new feature is that each tab will be ‘sandboxed’ so that if a malicious code on one tab borks your browser you can just close it.  Chrome will also use an address bar similar to that of FireFox 3′s “awesome bar” called ‘omnibar’.  This last feature is the one that I am most interested in.
